Thankfully, this was resolved today with Apple restoring Gui’s access. Back in August, Apple locked me out of my developer account, preventing me from updating my apps on the App Store. They didn’t provide any explanation or reason, and since then I’ve reached out to them many times, without success. 2024-11-10: Editor’s footnote.1 Tweet link. The first thing that struck me when I read this was that it was just another in the long line of transgressions Apple has against the developer community. The second thing which struck me was the out-pouring of “you deserve this” sentiment on Twitter, citing the developer NDA and developer agreement all developers must sign to have a developer account with Apple. Provided that a developer cannot offer an iOS app without an Apple developer account, and that it is onerous to be a macOS developer without an Apple developer account - it seemed strange to not see sentiment the other way ‘round dominating the conversation. ...

OK, it’s not 100 outdoor bike rides - but I’ve only got the one Zwift virtual ride on there so I’m going to count it. One hundred activities. One hundred days being active, doing stuff, out of 365 days in the year. A hair over 27% of the time. Actually, looking at the percentage, and it feels somewhat low! I think I’ve got two or three 2018 rides on there, plus a hike or two, so I’ll have to celebrate again when I hit 100 Strava outdoor bike rides. ...

As a group ride, I wanted to note down some thoughts about Bike MS yesterday. The good: Charity! Lots of people to ride with (this will appear in other sections); I spent some time falling in with riders of different paces and had a fun time chasing them Road closures and control made the ride a breeze; rarely had to stop at intersections and very little traffic on the roads we were on Rest stops were STOCKED with lots of goodies Bike storage at the stops was well done - those metal bars you hang your seat across Food at the end of the ride was a really nice bonus - pierogis and baked beans is an awesome combo The bad: ...

Have a new heart rate monitor for the bike (Wahoo Tickr) which should produce some interesting data I can both monitor in real-time from my head unit (Wahoo Elemnt Bolt) and then review in aggregate later on Strava/RideWithGPS. I’m excited. ...

2,000 miles down this year. Not too bad! That mileage is on my body, not on the new Canyon bike, though, which is sitting as 1,907 miles as of this morning. Another 100 miles on that thing and I can celebrate again. Starting the year I had figured 2,000 would be an achievable goal, although I had no idea I would be achieving it while summer was still around. The remaining weekends in August are set to be busy(-er) which means I have to plan a new 2019 goal with that in mind. 500 more miles sounds easily do-able, considering the City to Shore MS ride will be 75-100 of it and all in one day. ...
